This one was sparked off by my daughter telling me that her farming guru (Jonathan Crump, who also makes prize winning cheese) had said ‘I think your mum should write a book about farming.’  This coincided with a wonderful TV programme that showed the lives of several Scottish farmers through their farming year. 

I loved my research and although I discovered I am afraid of cows I felt learnt a lot and that YouTube can teach you to make almost anything.  In this case it was cheese which is still my passion.  But my love of the countryside, even in winter, along with my love of nature and animals are in here.  It also includes my fondness for old ladies, which gives me an opportunity to practice becoming a really difficult one!
